Challenges and Concerns

  • The project area is near the capital city and women often travel there to find work. This makes it more difficult to attract, retain and motivate group participants. The program, in a sense, must compete with real and perceived opportunities in Kathmandu Valley.
  • Differences in women's socioeconomic status (specifically education and income) make it more challenging to deliver one training module that is helpful to all participants.
